Flower for a Friend

Hello! Im back again, ive been really inspired by some beautiful dahlia flowers and their very intircate and detailed designs.How all the petals overlap and create this full effect as well as this beautiful form and almost illusion? I really wanted my digital flower which I had coded using p5.js to emulate it. here is a Dahlia i found online;
